Cheers celebrates its 25th anniversary today. Without it, we wouldn't have gotten Frasier. We could've but we wouldn't have seen the Boston back story. Here's to you by giving us the best characters in TV history. Plus, a relationship that everyone keeps trying to top and hasn't succeeded. What? You didn't know everyone wants to copy Sam and Diane? They do. So watch an episode today on your DVD player or VCR. Why? Because TV Land isn't celebrating it.

Nickelodeon won't listen

Nickelodeon recently announced that Noggin and The N would split and that The N would take the place of the Nick GAS channel. Nick GAS would then be placed on TurboNick meaning it's only available online.

I was paying attention to the rumors that Nick GAS would be a Nick Rewind channel. Something I've wanted for awhile.

I'm beginning to think that Nick doesn't want to cater to the 18-29 demographic. Thing is, we want them to cater to us. The people desperately want a Nick Rewind channel. Message boards all over the place (Nick's website, Facebook, MySpace, LJ, etc.) say they want to see classic Nickelodeon.

Don't pay attention to how poorly or how well the Nick Rewind DVDs have done. I'm pretty sure that not a lot of people even knew they existed.

Nickelodeon needs to start paying attention to us. Pretty soon (or even now), we'll be having kids, but we won't let them watch Nickelodeon. They'll be watching Disney because it's no longer a premium channel like it was in our childhood. Plus, it's starting to get more popular.

The longer they refuse to listen, the more viewers they'll lose.

Start paying attention to us Nickelodeon! We grew up with you. We were your viewers that made you #1. Appreciate us! We aren't asking to be the President of the company.

In 1993, Kirstie Alley was asked if she would ever do a Cheers reunion (isn't that a tad bit early to be asking the same year the show ended??) Her reply, "Never. I don´t go back. my opinion about reunion shows is that they are so audiences can go, ´Gee, they look 10 years older.´ Well, duh, hello, it has been 10 years!"

In 2005, when asked by USA weekend, her reply was, "There isn't one that I know of in the works. But I would die to do one!" Alley shrieks enthusiastically. "My ideal would be to do a reunion show but act like we've all worked there the last 12 years. Not have it be a special, just an episode. That's what I would love -- with us all still losers working at "Cheers." They need to do that. Wouldn't that be fun?"

What I'm wondering is why the change of attitude?? Does 12 years of not doing a show like Cheers make a huge difference? Isn't this the same person who never appeared on Frasier, labeling her as the only living castmember from Cheers not to appear on Frasier. Granted that was because she has a thing against psychiatrists, but still.

I just had the strangest idea.

You know how John Ratzenberger was the old guy on this last season of DWTS? Well for this upcoming season... let's use a fomer co-star of his. Ted Danson!

I'm positive I've seen the guy dance in movie roles so he couldn't possibly be that bad. Maybe he wouldn't have the advantage that Mario Lopez had, but still!

Think about it. He'd be the perfect guy and he's eight months younger than John Ratzenberger.

Wow! TV Land is...

TV Land just got weirder. They've acquired the rights to air Extreme Makeover: Home Edition on Tuesdays at 11 PM Eastern. Um... EM:HE?!?! This is up there with airing a TV Land commercial telling me to embrace my favorites by including Cheers clips. TV Land hasn't shown Cheers for awhile though...

Just when I thought this network would stay close to their roots, they become Nick at Nite all over again!

I'm sick of Fresh Prince because they air it WAY too much. I think it's safe to say that Nick at Nite is the Fresh Prince, Roseanne, Cosby Show network. It's all I ever see on there! Ick!

I have a strange feeling that there isn't a Cheers reunion yet due to Kirstie Alley not wanting to reprise her role as Rebecca Howe. Or... Frasier hasn't been off the air long enough...

I think I have the solution. Either they kill Rebecca off or she's in Europe or some place overseas. She's not that huge of an asset to Cheers. Kirstie Alley doesn't realize her career took off because of Cheers. It's a shame.

For the love of... I'm begging you! One Cheers reunion movie with a happy ending for Sam and Diane. Please? Even with no happy ending between the two, I'd watch it!

GSN has a tribute to Charles Nelson Reilly tomorrow from 9 AM - 7 PM Eastern time of Match Game. 10 hours of the best of CNR on Match Game makes Saturday the day to stay in and just watch TV!

I like to watch GSN and I've been interested for quite a while. I think my love for watching Match Game and the Richard Dawson version of Family Feud makes me like The Price is Right LESS. I actually would choose those two over Price is Right any day. The only two current game shows I like right now are Deal or No Deal and 1 vs. 100.
